Dank en wederwensen uit Bethlehem en Jeruzalem voor onze kerstactie

Via de voor Pax Christi ontwikkelde website van Weglow konden mensen hier in België een digitale kaars aansteken en wensen voor Kerst en Nieuwjaar sturen naar christenen in Bethlehem en Jeruzalem, dankzij de samenwerking met AEI-Pax Christi, Sabeel, Musalaha en Wi'am Centre. Met bijna 100 kaarsjes gloeide de landkaart van Vlaanderen op als een echte kerstboom!

Hier enkele reacties die we mochten ontvangen:

Van Sabeel: "We shared the messages with 13 Sabeel groups that meet on a regular basis. Many loved the idea and thought it was unique and creative. It is extremely important to show solidarity with on another. Thank you for this great intiative."

Van Arab Educational Institute: "Many thanks for the heartfelt wishes you sent to us. We at the Arab Educational Institute in Bethlehem, a partner of Pax Christi, forwarded your mail to Palestinian youth and women members of the groups we host. Here is a response from our women's group: In the midst of the challenging times represented in the war on Gaza and the ongoing catastrophic injustices, killings and displacements, we call for an immediate ceasefire, access to humanitarian aid and an end to the occupation. May the Christmas spirit of salvation, justice, freedom, security and peace for all Gods' Humans prevail in our Holy Land. Let us all be instruments of peace and solidarity."
